Hi everyone, I hope each of you are doing well!
I’ve had one of the most productive stretches of writing I can remember over the past few weeks. Everything is coming together in the third book—lots of exciting… and harrowing things happening for the Twelve. A few long-running threads are beginning to converge, and some characters are about to face moments that will change them forever. The story is moving toward some moments I’ve been planning since the beginning, and I’m excited to finally be writing them.
I’m in the final stretch of finishing the manuscript now, and I’d estimate I’m a little over 90 percent done. The final five or six chapters all take place over a three-day span in the story, and I’m just wrapping up the first of those three days.
I’ve also reached out to beta readers and my editor so everything will be ready when the manuscript is finished. The cover for The Diaspora of the Twelve is currently in the works, and I hope to have some options to share with you soon.
In the meantime, I’ve been posting scenes from each chapter on the website. Take a look and let me know what you think—did the scenes match what you imagined while reading the books?
If you’d like to follow along as the book moves toward publication, I’ll keep sharing updates and sneak peeks here on the site. You can also hit the “follow author” button on Amazon to receive pre-release updates and timing.
Thank you to everyone who has read—or is currently reading—The Binding of the Twelve and The Forging of the Twelve. My goal with this series is to write classic epic fantasy centered on the theme of hope, and I hope you’re enjoying the journey so far.
If you have been enjoying the story, be sure to tell a friend who might enjoy The Chronicles of the Orphan King as well.
Thanks again!
Nathanael
